MEMOC was founded in Kuwait in June 2021, by a highly accomplished senior engineering professional who served in Oil and Gas majors, at middle and senior management level. (Company License number: 231969 -Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry) The company was established with a purpose to servicing the Oil and Gas industry in the Middle East region, based out of Kuwait. MEMOC is equipped to provide consultancy and expertise for oil and gas companies in different fields such as Inspection, corrosion, asset integrity, cathodic protection, Risk management as well as management service contracts for oil and gas companies.
About the founder
A distinguished Senior Corrosion Engineer who has worked in the Oil and Gas industry for over 3 decades, during which he has received various accolades both from the companies he worked for, and from reputable international associations such as AMPP (Formerly known as NACE).
Mr Surya Prakash is a NACE Certified Senior Internal Corrosion Technologist and NACE Certified Instructor for Pipeline Basic corrosion.
He has coached over 10 junior engineers who now hold high positions in KOC, and to this day consult Mr Surya for his guidance.
He has over 34 international publications, most of which were published by AMPP, and the remaining by IPC
Mr Surya retired from the reputed Kuwait Oil Company at the age of 62. The combination of his strong industrial knowledge, unwavering work ethics and a personality that speaks volumes of his accomplishments, channeled Mr Surya into establishing MEMOC to be of further service to the Kuwait Oil and Gas Industry.
Mr Surya has also been pivotal in bringing in new technologies in the field of corrosion into the Kuwait market, and is currently engaged in introducing Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment into the Kuwait Oil and Gas industry. Over the years, he has performed innumerable Root Cause Analysis, Failure Analysis, Material Selection in order to create innovative methods to reduce the effect of corrosion and maximize efficiency. Some of the examples are Natural Gas Pre Heater Outlet Tube Rupture, Tube leak from Final Steam Super Heater & so on.
At the NACE Corrosion Conference in USA held in Texas, he presented an in-process technique to inhibit downhole corrosion through bacteria; proposed to perform DNA sequencing of bacteria which will reduce corrosion by inhibiting bacterial growth.
His vision for MEMOC is to be able to introduce new technologies, help clients with consultation, optimize operations by providing expert advice on improving efficiency and assist prospective clients help set their first operations in Kuwait.
